India:

MOU with Mangalore University

NSSPI
 

NSSPI has Memorandum of Understanding in place with Mangalore University (MU) and two MU students are currently enrolled in its Nonproliferation M.S. program. NSSPI also sponsored a TAMU-NE student to present lectures on nuclear security engineering at MU in 2010.

Letter of Cooperation between TAMU and PDPU

In September 2010, a letter of cooperation was signed between TAMU and Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU).  NSSPI's collaboration with PDPU is intended to produce joint student research projects in nuclear security engineering in addition to the development of a Joint Nuclear Security Education Program at PDPU. NSSPI also sponsored a TAMU-NE student to present lectures on nuclear security engineering at PDPU in 2010.

Memorandum of Agreement with the Nuclear Engineering and Technology Program at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur

In 2013, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Texas A&M University's College of Engineering and the Nuclear Engineering and Technology Program at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K).  

Collaborations and exchanges between NSSPI and IIT-K include:

  • a visit to Texas A&M by senior faculty member and Convener Prof. Prabhat Munshi.  
  • a series of lectures on nuclear security science taught by NSSPI Ph.D. graduate Dr. Braden Goddard at IIT-K in April 2013
  • a visit to IIT-K by current NSSPI Ph.D. student Jennifer Erchinger who traveled to IIT-K to work on research during the summer of 2013.
