High School Outreach Programs
NPI programs help high school teachers and their students learn
more about the nuclear industry and educational and career
opportunities.
POWER SET: Powerful Opportunities for Women Eager and Ready for
Science, Engineering, and Technology
POWER
SETprovides young women with the educational tools and support
they need to pursue education and careers in science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM). After the 4th year of POWER SET's
initiation, 83% of its graduating members have declared a STEM
major in college with graduating GPAs (grade point averages) of
3.7.
There are currently POWER SET programs in Bay City, Louise,
Palacios, Sweeny, Van Vleck, El Campo, Wharton, Glen Rose, Granbury
and Foster Texas high schools. Learn More.

WIT: Workforce Industry Training
This program is for both female and male high school students
who have an interest in STEM-related careers, but are interested in
two-year technical degrees or certificates. By participating
in WIT, students gain
exposure to career opportunities and the confidence to consider
further technical education. After the 2nd year of WIT, 84% of
graduates pursue a STEM major with an average GPA of 3.6.
WIT currently operates in Bay City, Louise, Palacios, Sweeny, Van
Vleck, El Campo, Wharton, Glen Rose, Granbury and
