SCIENCE ON SATURDAY (SOS) is an electrifying
presentation coming to the Wharton County Junior College Center for
Energy Development (CED) on Saturday May 19, 2012.
SOS is a presentation of experiments geared towards junior high
and high school students. It is a program developed by NPI (Nuclear
Power Institute) and presented by high school teachers and college
students interested in promoting STEM. SOS promises to stimulate
scientific inquiry and pique your interest with our bubbling
fountain that glows or the cloud we will create before your
eyes!
Students, teachers, parents, and community members are
welcome.
There is no fee for the program.
TIME: Saturday, May 19 Doors open at 9:15 a.m.
The presentation will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will last
approximately two hours. There will be audience interaction and a
moderated question-and-answer session following the program. The
program will end around noon.
LOCATION: SOS will be held at the Wharton
County Junior College Center for Energy Development (CED) located
at 4000 Avenue F in Bay City, Texas.
REGISTRATION: Register on site prior to the
session. No preregistrations accepted. Seating is on a first-come
first served basis.
