Dr. John W. Poston, Sr. Receives the RPSD 2014 Professional Excellence Award

At the recent American Nuclear Society (ANS) summer meeting in Reno, NV, the Radiation Protection and Shielding Division (RPSD) Executive Committee selected Dr. John W. President Obama Nominates Dr. Kenneth L. Peddicord as Member of Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board

On June 13, 2014, President Barack Obama announced his intent to reappoint five members of the Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board to another four-year term. The reappointments include Dr. Kenneth L. Peddicord. Appointments to the board come from a list of nominees submitted by the National Academy of Sciences and do not need congressional approval. POWER SET and Phillips 66 "Dress for Success" Fashion Show

On Wednesday, April 9, 2014, POWER SET traveled to the Phillips 66 Refinery Recreation Center to participate in the "Dress for Success" Fashion Show. PHS POWER SET was given the medical and pharmaceutical industry to represent. The criteria for this event required the different chapters of POWER SET to model the dress for jobs within their industry, as well as present the schooling requirements and other information about the profession.
