It is with excitement that the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) has selected Granbury High School (GHS) teacher, Landree Page, and Foster High School (FHS) teacher, Joshua Johnson, to support their participation in the E3 program. Dr. Kurwitz and Students Test Advanced Radiator System for Future Spacecraft

A student team of the Systems Engineering Initiative (SEI) program recently completed a set of test flights in support of a NASA Game Changing Technology Program. The DoVR (Demonstration of a Variable Radiator) Team consisting of three engineering undergraduate students designed, developed, and tested an experiment under zero gravity conditions as part of a larger program to test a novel spacecraft thermal management technology. Palacios POWER SET Dissects Cow Eyeballs at University of Houston

On Tuesday, March 15th, POWER SET traveled to the University of Houston to tour campus and participate in a cow eyeball dissection facilitated by PhD and graduate students. After an extremely informative general tour of campus, members went to visit Dr. Naash's lab in the Biomedical Engineering Department, which focuses on diseases of the eyes such as retinitis pigmentosa. Palacios High School's WIT and POWER SET students hosted the 5th annual Science on Saturday (SOS) on February 27th. The event, sponsored by the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI), highlighted fun and educational science experiments and demonstrated by PHS WIT and POWER SET students.
