WE FLY – Nuclear Power Institute's Systems Engineering Opportunity

On Monday, July 20th, 2015, NPI sent a group of engineering students from Texas A&M's Systems Engineering Initiative program to NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston. The team of students includes Elizabeth Tindle, Aldo Sosa, Juan Duran, and Victor Ibarra who were responsible for the design and fabrication of a mid-deck locker sized experiment to evaluate a novel spacecraft thermal management technology developed by Dr. Cable Kurwitz. The Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station's Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) organized an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) fellowship training program at Texas A&M University for a group of Kenyan professionals involved in planning the steps toward developing a nuclear program in their country. Wharton High School's POWER SET and WIT students hosted the 4th annual Science on Saturday (SOS) on Saturday, March 21th. NPI Hosts Chinese Students on Study Tour

The TEES Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) hosted a group of fifteen undergraduate students and two faculty members from Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in China on a three week study tour at Texas A&M University.  The students were all nuclear engineering students in their final year of undergraduate studies.  The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) sponsored the tour through the Division for Asia and the Pacific in the Department of Technical Cooperation.
